🌿 What a Difference a Hedge Makes!

How could I be so wrong? I thought I'd understood a situation, but later realized I hadn't grasped it at all.

PERSPECTIVE: Nearly every week for 3 years, I parked my car and walked past a tall, thick hedge on my way to church (actual photo attached). After my church moved across the street, I kept parking in my usual spot so I walked down the same block, but on the opposite side of the street.

Last Sunday, I looked across the street to that hedge, and realized there was a 3-story building towering above it! What?!? I was shocked to realized such an enormous building had been right there all the time, beyond my perception.

In this case, it didn't matter that I was unaware. But there are times in life when we need to see more of the scope of a situation.

LIGHT: How do YOU increase perspective? When it comes to spiritual understanding, there are lots of things we could do.

My favorite quick prayer tool is to follow Arthur Burk's advice to make this request: "Jesus, shine your light wherever you want to shine it, and hold it there until I see what you want me to see."
