Our Mission
At Estuary Courts Consulting, we value and understand the importance of safety and confidentiality. We are dedicated to honoring your heartbreaks and heartaches — without any need to recount them — leading the way to healing and growth. There are no guarantees, but we expect you will enjoy an increase of hope, joy, peace, flow, and resilience.
It is our perspective that blessings shower our lives each day, but often the flow evaporates before it hits our mountain, or it gets stopped by dams or swallowed by swamps that keep it from meeting the ocean of God’s love. That sweet spot is the estuary, where our identity can flourish according to our true nature.
Meet the Team
We are ambassadors of reconciliation. We aim to build up and encourage spirit, soul, and body to come out of oppression and into the full freedom of the gifts of the Holy Spirit so that you may have a deeper, more fully synchronized relationship with yourself, your creator, and your community.
Founder-Director, Certified Heartsync Minister
Susan Mitchell
Writer, listener, dream unpacker. She discovered the value of inner healing tools after experiencing the freedom and healing that the Lord secured for her own spirit, soul, and body. Since 2013, she has led or participated in hundreds of sessions, learning something new every time. Susan helps “connect the dots” of what is observed and reported in session, enabling the client to receive God’s redeeming love and attention. Her primary redemptive gift is Ruler, moved by those who are stuck in life.
“I love watching my Father work!”
Intercessor, Qualified Heartsync Minister
Dorothy Mitchell
Writer, editor, teacher, translator. She enjoys creating art and learning languages, including Spanish, Japanese, and Hebrew. In session, she serves as intercessor, scribe, seer, feeler, and prophetic dancer and vocalizer. Her primary redemptive gift is Mercy, moved by watching what Jesus does.
“He surprises me every time!”
The Founding of Estuary Courts
Our story starts in 2012, when Darla returned from eight years in Uganda, then started serving with the House of Hope (HOH) ministry team in Sunnyvale, CA. At that time, HOH trained and mentored her in the complementary processes of:
Prayer for physical body healing, as promoted by the International Association of Healing Rooms (IAHR, Spokane, WA).
Facilitation for mental-emotional-spiritual soul healing through:
• The Sozo (“salvation”) method, as practiced by Bethel Church (Redding, CA).
• The HeartSync process, as taught by Fr. Andrew Miller, LCSW (Tallahassee, FL).
Darla shared with Susan about the amazing speed of healing and hope in these situations. Susan was intrigued and joined Silicon Valley Healing Ministries (SVHM) and HOH in 2013, and got healed and trained in the same processes. It took a few years of learning and practicing, but eventually Susan was coaching others in this art. By 2014, Dorothy began training in the same organizations and practices.
As Susan made new friends through these ministries, they shared other tools that did a better job of addressing certain conditions.
For example, Robert Henderson’s first book about the Courtrooms of Heaven opened Susan’s eyes to scores of passages in the Bible that pointed to a more tangible, interactive way of cooperating with heaven to unlock and manifest divine blessings on earth. As she practiced this in her own life, with friends and family, then with the ministry teams and people they knew, she began to see many specific breakthroughs. Accusations on earth and heaven were overturned in terms of people’s relationships, possessions, health, professional reputation, finances, life goals, and so on.
Susan also suddenly realized, through teachings by Arthur Burk and Dan Duval, that soul and spirit are very different entities! We’ve overlooked each other’s spirits for too long to focus on the soul’s woundedness rather than spirit’s resources. One aspect of Susan’s work now is to acknowledge/affirm the spirit and reintroduce its royal identity and place of dominion within a person. (Things go much better for soul and body when spirit is up in a leadership role.) There was very little “structure” to those teachings, but from the data and anecdotes, Susan and Dorothy were able to design a SpiritNurture approach and hone it by personally experiencing such ministry from other practitioners.
Susan’s passion for each of these efficient and effective modes of healing reached a tipping point in 2018, and she realized it was time to quit her day job as a technical writer in order to serve people full time.
A Vision Unfolds
Over time and with much prayer and negotiation in and out of the Courts of Heaven, God blazed the trail for Susan, Dorothy, and Darla (and dozens of enabling partners) to take many steps necessary to bring Estuary Courts to fruition.
The biggest leap involved moving to Southern California, where the greater Los Angeles area had only one other recognized HeartSync practitioner in place. Susan moved down from Northern California, Dorothy moved back from Japan, and Darla will soon leave North Carolina to join up.
Meanwhile, Susan met all the available requirements to become a Qualified HeartSync Facilitator and was ordained as a Life Chaplain by The River Fellowship. She hired a life coach, website developer, logo designer, and began taking classes and getting advised at the local branch of the Small Business Development Associates.
We are delighted to be available to serve you wholeheartedly.
