Assessing My Current Status

When you schedule an initial free consultation with us, it’s time for getting to know each other and sussing out the issues you feel you need help with and our recommendations for ways to move forward.

One tool we like to use in this discovery phase is our fill-in-the-blank summary statement. I share it now in case you’d like to get insights into your own life. In brackets, I’ve included a few of the ways these spaces can be filled in.

Although I’m currently in a stage of [PARALYSIS, POVERTY, INJUSTICE, BITTERNESS, OPPRESSION, PTSD], I look forward to having more flow or justice in the area of my [MARRIAGE, OCCUPATION, STATUS, DESTINY, HOPES & DREAMS]. I blame the spirits of [DEVOURING, WELFARE, JEZEBEL, PYTHON, ABUSE, SELF-HATRED, COMPARISON, ADDICTION] for sabotaging my relationships with my [PARENT, EMPLOYER, COMMUNITY, SYSTEMS]. I sense God primarily through [VISIONS, DREAMS, SONGS, NATURE, NEWS, BOOKS]. He has given me everything I need for life and godliness, including [CREATIVITY, PERSEVERANCE, HOSPITALITY, JOY, INHERITANCE, BIRTHRIGHT, FAVOR, GRACE, FUNDS].

At the initial session, we also like to ask about your place within your family of origin, your spiritual walk, and whatever is bothering you about life. Some of you only know that something is wrong, and you aren’t thriving the way you should. It’s also helpful to point out the treasure — the good stuff — God has packed into your family line and you.

We can help you figure out the right questions, so the Lord can guide you to the right solutions. He and we are so glad to meet with you!

HELP with Our Book Title

Dorothy and I are writing a book that shares an inner healing and deliverance process based on Isaiah 28 (Covenants with Death) and Revelation 3:14-22 (Letter to Laodicea).

Dorothy and I are writing a book that shares an inner healing and deliverance process based on Isaiah 28 (Covenants with Death) and Revelation 3:14-22 (Letter to Laodicea).

REQUEST: We would love your help with the title of our book. We have narrowed it down to these three. If you saw it on a Christian bookshelf, which one are you most likely to pick up? Reply to this email to let us know your vote, or if you have more ideas!

A] Lukewarm No More: A Practical Guide to Laodicean Renewal and Spiritual Equipping

B] Lukewarm No More: Drawing on the Extravagant Mercy of Jesus to Passionately Thrive

C] Laodicea Clothed: Drawing on the Extravagant Mercy of Jesus for the Lukewarm

UPDATE: As of 2/22/26: P.S. So far, the book title poll is trending toward title B: Lukewarm No More: Drawing on the Extravagant Mercy of Jesus to Passionately Thrive. I’d love to see more votes come in -- but only after you get what Susie is offering above.

FINAL: Last week, when you participated in the poll to select our book title, we felt that YOU were holding God’s flashlight. What you illuminated got us out of weeds we’d been stuck in for a long time. The consensus was remarkable in that nearly everyone voted for option B. We tweaked the last few words according to one voter’s suggestion, which resulted in a title we are excited about: Lukewarm No More: Drawing on the Extravagant Mercy of Jesus to Heal and Deliver.

Loving our God in all his amazing ways!

Pitch the Old | Receive the New

Hi Estuary, at Estuary Courts, we often hear from the Lord in dreams to guide the ministry. Today we share what we received, in anticipation of the new year.

Hi Estuary, at Estuary Courts, we often hear from the Lord in dreams to guide the ministry. Today we share what we received, in anticipation of the new year.

THE IDEA. Jim Yost (jim@gomail.asia), with his wife Joan, have been missionaries in Irian Jaya (now called Papua), Indonesia since 1977. Out of his call to catalyze disciple-making movements throughout Indonesia and beyond, 1400 churches have been planted, with many Papuan missionaries now sent out to be a blessing to the Nations. If you want to follow his work, he’d love to add you to his newsletter list.

Jim keeps his relationship with Jesus fresh by cleaning out his accounts with the Lord as one year is ending and the next is beginning. To keep the church congregation that he stewards focused on the mission of evangelism, he regularly articulates his mission and expectations to his disciples and even invites congregants to leave if they are not committed to that vision.

While Jim practices this radical discipline for his church body, the same principle applies to our hearts and minds. How might you put that into practice? Are there any familiar spirits, bad habits, sticky mindsets, and old wineskins impeding your mission on earth that you are itching to break up with?

THE DREAM. We at Estuary Courts had an unorthodox dream of gentle deliverance and emotional release. In the dream, we and some of our clients released fresh warm urine into a channel that descended alongside a stairway into the basement of a decrepit building. Metaphorically in this context, peeing (getting rid of polluted salts and toxins that would otherwise come out in our sweat labor) may represent a kind of self-reclamation. We are marking the territory of our souls and bodies, retaining the good living water and healthy emotions, and quietly sending the negative emotions, pollution, and toxicity heaped on us back to the ungodly depths from which they came. We separate from that which may have once felt like part of us, but is not really part of our humanity. No need to carry that into the new year!

AN EXERCISE. So try this exercise as a deliberate, intentional act of reclaiming your identity, emotions, and territory, staking your claim and starting all accounts fresh in the new year. Ask the Lord to shine his light and help you make some lists:

List faults and grudges against yourself, everything that is “not me,” ungodly traits or influences, inconsolable “pissed off” or “despairing” emotions and offenses. Our true eternal design and character is not defined or dictated by our temporary behaviors. You may have absorbed accusations and judgments from others or from society, and reacted to or assimilated those thoughts, and judged yourself as well. Dump it all in the channel to “return to Sender,” and issue a “Forever No” to Sheol, Abaddon, the Pit. Ask Jesus to sever and annul and send away any familiar spirits you identified.

List hurts and disappointments. Be open to considering any ways you may have felt disappointed by the Lord or disappointed by others (by action, by inaction, by attitude…). Write those down and return them to the Lord for him to deal with when and how as he sees fit. Release the burden of debts owed and ask the Lord to get justice for you.

List, claim, and mark your spiritual territory. Identify the good emotions, hopes, dreams, plans, and purposes that you want the Lord to provide for you in the next year. You may ask the Lord for a word or a vision for the new year. How does he see you now? How does he see you in the future? How does he see your past year?

Countering Human Astrals

A few of you have been hurt or scared by humans projecting astrally into your home. As witchcraft rises in the USA, more may experience this. Use this prayer approach recommended by Nathan Reynolds in his book, Snatched from the Flames (p. 208-209), with additional suggestions by Dorothy:

Pray that Yahweh would forgive the sins that empowered this person to go on the astral plane to remote view, or spiritually come against you [or build structures or manipulate objects on your property. Ask the Lord to collect and correct these malpracticing individuals as “bent reeds”

Pray that Yahweh would send his holy angels to drive away the spirits that are accompanying [guarding, guiding] this astralling individual, and escort them off your property.

Ask the Lord to build a hedge of protection [and wall of fire] around your property that no human or evil spirit can penetrate.

Testimonies of Fresh Good News

Dorothy has been steadily studying ancient and modern Hebrew, and is now tackling Koine (biblical) Greek, which enriches our understanding of Scripture. She is now a licensed minister and a Qualified HeartSync Minister. This represents many hours of learning, practice, and application. Congratulations, Dorothy!

She is now a licensed minister and a Qualified HeartSync Minister. This represents many hours of learning, practice, and application. Congratulations, Dorothy!

This week’s other testimonies of how our powerful God is breaking through:

  • “The part of my body we prayed for last week is 90% better!”

  • “Wow, I can tell the difference in energy today after yesterday’s session. I have received more love lately than I have ever had in my life. I’ve felt love, support, and honor like never before. Thank you for this work!”

  • “Very, very helpful session! The internal pressure is now gone. Who else is helping dismantle the trauma of generational iniquity in the way that you guys are doing? I’ve trained and participated in many inner healing modalities, but this work is a unique and powerful key to walking in a greater level of personal freedom and victory. Thank you, Jesus!”

Finally, a song of testimony. This afternoon, in my head I was hearing the hymn “Tell It Today” that Jessie Brown Pounds wrote in the late 1800s:

If the name of the Savior is precious to you,
If His care has been constant and tender and true,
If the light of His presence has brightened your way,
O will you not tell of your gladness today?

Appreciating Jesus is an exercise that increases our joy capacity. How about composing (write, draw, sing, imagine…) a testimony of how the Lord showed grace to you in 2025? If that testimony includes any facilitation by Estuary Courts, please let us know, so we can praise the Lord with you!

With joy and anticipation of the coming 2026!
